PSU to GPU connection doubt

My new gtx 1080 requires 6pin + 8 pin connectors. My psu (evga supernova g3 750w) comes with a Y cable that can fit my 1080 but the question is, can I use two separate vga cables from the psu? both 6+2pin, also came with the psu. Is it any difference? Is te Y cable any better?

I always use a single cable if it's available for both GPU connections.

Either way works but use the 6+2 pin cable should be marked PCIE

None of them is marked as PCIE, only VGA
