Hi,
I got a HD 7750 to replace an old NVIDIA 9400GT.. As I mentioned in my
, The new card gave no video output. I've tried this card in another system and it worked.. Some members suggested replacing the PSU (280W and 18A on one 12v rail), So I'm considering upgrading the PSU.
The system specs:
LENOVO 3000 J200 9691
CPU: CORE 2 DUO E4600 2.4GHZ
RAM: 2X1GB Kingston DDR2 667MHZ
GPU: GIGABYTE AMD HD 7750 OC (880MHZ) PCI-E 3.0 (Previous: NVIDIA 9400GT PCIE 2.0)
MB: Intel 945GC (PCIE 1.1)
PSU: STOCK PSU 280W (Single 12V rail: 18A)
As you can see, The system is old and outdated. So I'm not going to spend too much on a PSU.. I want to be able to use this system until the next year when I upgrade the whole system..
Now, after I did a research I'm considering one of the following PSUs:
1. In Win Power Man IP-S450BQ3-3 - 450W - 2 12v rails with 18A on both - 53$ - 2 years warranty
2. Corsair CP-9020052 - 350W - single 12v rail with 25A - 47$ - 3 years warranty
3. Seasonic SS-400BT ECO 400W - single 12v rail with 30A - 67$ - 3 years warranty
Which one should I go with? I realize that the SEASONIC one is the most powerful among the three but does it worth the price difference to run a card like HD 7750 for one year?
BTW, The other system where the card worked had a 350W PSU (from the same brand of the 1st PSU in the list - 40$)..
Will upgrading the PSU make any difference at all (regarding the "No output" issue)?
