PSU upgrade on this mobo?

Seems to me my PCU is shot. I thought it was the mobo but I was wrong. The gist of what I'm getting at is I have the MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 mobo. I had to AMD athalon 64x2 2.8ghz dual core. I was wondering what CPU I can set in with the least amount of other upgrades but will still work with my backed up system image. Is it possible to get a quad core?

The propus and phenom II 95 watt cpus should work, but check msi's website under "cpu support" to see if a bios flash is required before ordering the cpu.
