Hello everybody,

I have a kernell 41 error issue. I had had this while ago and it went away on its own (rarely like twice a month it happened). But Ive had this issue twice today which is very frustrating for me. All these Kernell 41 issues have happened while I was playing PUBG; it never happened otherwise. Today I had enough of it and changed my thermal paste after a year, then I ve gotten Kernell 41 again.

The system shut itself down and after a minute it reboosted again with the red light on on my mobo. I checked this issue everywhere and everybody say that there can be various reasons for this. My theory is that system just overheats itself and shuts itself down to avoid damage. Even fans noise get better after 10 minutes when I stop playing PUBG. I know this game puts immense pressure on the CPU and GPU but I think my system should be fine which is a pretty good set up in my opinion.

I used some programmes to see the temperatures and I had seen 90-95 degrees on CPU like six months ago. I really dont know what to do. Can someone suggest me anything?

Should I go for water cooling? Would that change something? Please see the attached pics to get a better idea.

Thanks in advance. PICS

Reapply thermal paste and reseat your cooler. Ambient room air temps? What app's are you using to monitor temps?

Should I go for water cooling?
Your air cooler should be fins you have headroom.

Per your motherboard manual;
https://download-2.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/MAGX670ETOMAHAWKWIFI.pdf
page 46, the red LED you speak of, means there's something wrong with your CPU.

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

Hey,

Thanks for the answer. I did the reapplying thermal paste today and it happened again afterwards.

I used HWinfo and Afterburner. I havent used recently but it was around 90 degrees on CPU. Do you want me to check a specific article while running the game?

Its definitely about CPU and I believe since its getting very hot inside; the PC shuts itself down because of the heated CPU.

Bios version is: 3.7

The atmosphere temperature gets pretty hot though. I opened the case's door after this happens and can sense the heat.

Hello everyone, again.

I re installed the windows, optimised the game through NVDIA APP and nothing happened. This time I saw 99 (celcius) degrees. This doesnt happen with any other games; please do know that.

Then, I saw a comment in a rabbit hole that says lower the FPS cap.

So I ve lowered to 200 FPS. Now the CPU temps lingers around 75-80; top 90 but just for a second.

I think I have fixed the issue.

I dont know very well about the problem. You know there is a joke that '' human eyes cant see more than 60 FPS '' and all. So without the limitation, I was seeing around 350 FPS in PUBG, and this I believe put immense pressure on the CPU. But when I applied the limitation, things got better forthe temperature issue. However, I can feel the difference like a lot. From 350 FPS to 150-200 FPS, its there. This is my monitor:

GIGABYTE AORUS FO27Q3 27" 360Hz 0.03ms

I didnt FPS drop would be this noticable; even at these numbers.

Thank you again
