Hi, whats the chance of pushpins coming loose after a secure install? With a cooler like be quiet dark rock that sits very steady the pushpins got a more insecure feel. how common is i that they pop put on their own?
Im upgrading many computers at work so what you Think is it more important to pay alil more for a cooler or is the push pins like coolermaster hyper 212 evo a safe bet?

Push-pins are notorious for being a poor mounting technique, but Intel insists on using them anyway. You'll notice their partner builders like Dell, Lenovo, etc do not use their coolers... opting for proprietary screw-on type instead. I would suggest going with something more substantial for commercial use. Personal use, it may be OK to stay with the push-pins as long as you can keep an eye on them. in your situation, you will be baby-sitting them every time the PC is moved around. IMO, of course.

yes like your saying it feels like even if they are mounted correctly something can go wrong. the price is alot better for the pushpin coolers though. intel probably using them because t hey are the cheapest solution. maybe should go with amd full out at least the installation is easy

If the 212 EVO is easily available where you are, there's nothing wrong with it other than it can be a headache to install for the first time. And the fact that it is a hell of a lot more cooler than necessary for a CPU that won't be OC'ed.

The Be Quiet cooler is even more cooler. And generally more expensive.

You could go with the 'free' Intel cooler they supply for now and replace them with aftermarket solutions only as the need arises. I'm not familiar with your particular situation, but that may be a more convenient option.

i have no problem installing the pushpins but the price is my issue, i can get a decent cooler with pushpins for about 20 s here if i wanna go with a cooler with backplate i need about 10-15 s more. Since im upgrading many computers im trying to cut the price but maybe quality is more important after all

thanks, yes they are good coolers but over the budget at work , if it was up to me i would spend more on the cooler but they want to cut the price so i guess i have to go with the pushpins.
what do you Think about these? http://www.ebay.com/itm/222213053436

would they cool a 80/95w tdp? looks like the fan om them can be changed to since i got alot of quiet fans in spare here it could be a good deal. Cooler looks alil weak but i got one similiare to them in one system and the manage to cool a intel xeon x5460 with 120 w tdp.
