Hi, I got Black Ops 2 for PC and I lag like hell and have a solid red bar connection most of the time. I have tried port forwarding it and everything i can think of. So i put my computer in DMZ to see if it helps, and it did. A lot! i can play with a solid 4 green bars the whole time with DMZ enabled. I want to know if it is dangerous for my PC to be put in DMZ? So i can play games with no lag. If it is, is there anything i can do to prevent anything bad from happening to my computer? Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot! :)

There is something else going on here; you should not need to put a PC into the DMZ to get decent play.

The DMZ is a dangerous place and should be reserved for servers that are FULLY locked down against hackers.

I would try this: Reset your router back to factory default settings and try playing the game with NO port forwarding. Port forwarding is only needed for servers and torrent downloads.

I took off all of the port forwarding settings and still no luck 🙁

If its any help i have the Dlink Dgl-4500 router
