Question PWR_OK with +5VSB accidentally

I just brought new corsair CV550
And I test it by connecting PS_ON to COM on 24 pin connector.
Then again during rgb fan test. I accidentally hold 24 pin connector inverted.
And made another connection
+5VSB with PWR_OK
I got 1 rgb blink.
Like something shorted
Then I did correct check and psu is still working.

Can anyone tell me what happened during wrong connection?
RGB seems to be still working with psu and psu fan is also spinning
I don't have motherboard yet.

I just want to make sure that what I bought is still working perfectly.

The PWR_OK terminal is a terminal that goes to 5 volts when the PSU essentially passes a self test.

By connecting the +5V to it....you are connecting an output to an output.

This isn't proper.

I think it's possible to have damaged the PWR_OK circuit....but also...you may not have.

The only way to know is to try it on a motherboard....or use a voltmeter on the PWR__OK....and it should go to 5V not long after you power on the PSU.

I have the multimeter.
Now how should I check?
Should I connect positive terminal to PWR_OK and negative to COM.for voltage setting.Right.?
And also
Do I need to keep PS_ON connected with COM while doing this?

Have the meter on PWR_OK and COM.....the red lead goes on PWR_OK to read positive voltage.
Then jump start the supply like you normally do....by connecting PS_ON to COM .
The meter should go to 5V pretty shortly after.

Also....and I assume you know this....but the meter needs to be set to DC volts....just in case you don't.

Yes I know about multimeter.
But, this time It didn't even run.
I means, it was working even after acciden for quite a while.
I ran rgb fan rgb case on it for like an half an hour few hours ago.
But, now fan doesn't spin.
Also
Screws doesn't fit even without case. ( Seems like manufacturing defect)
Even if it work, it won't fit properly.
So there is no point doing effort.
I will just replace it.

You're welcome.
It's possible something got damaged....but that doesn't explain why it ran afterwards.
The meter should NOT be affecting anything. If you have it set to DC volts the meter is virtually invisible from an electrical standpoint.

I just got replacement.
And I tested new.
It wasn't working either.
Did some troubleshooting
Turns out some of the indian electrical sockets are not very friendly with square ended pin.
I Changed the socket and psu worked
Probably the last psu was also working 😂
Although one screw still doesn't go through.
Maybe seller has defective lot.
I will be using only three screws only 😅
