Hello there folks, I have a couple of questions to ask about PWUs; first of all I don't have a clue about them, just so you know. Right, my first question is, I recently upgraded my graphics card to a HD Raedon 6770 1GB and when I plugged the 6-pin PCI-E port, the fan stopped working on PWU, I have been running for about 3 weeks like it, my 6 other fans have kept it very cool and I am constantly monitoring it, I understand this probably isn't the safest thing to be doing but if it is keeping cold is there any reason to worry about it?

My second question is on an upgrade for the broken PWU, I am currently using the XP480 Redwing 480W Rev3 and I have already gone through a couple which where recommended to me but I have found out to be incompatible and don't have the right connectors. I am using a I am running off a Asus P5Q SE Plus. I have considered maybe just buying a new XP480 simply because I know it will fit and I can't be doing with all the hassle of sending back more parcels. If I brought the same PWU would the fan go again as soon as I hook it to my graphics card? It is quite an old PWU so it could have just been on it's last legs anyway.

And my last question is would this be compatible http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xilence-supply-internal-ATX12V-active/dp/B000WH2V6W/ref=sr_1_22?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1334497016&sr=1-22 or can anyone recommend me something which is.

Thanks,
Daelar
