Here are my specs:

ryzen 7 2700x
asus rog crosshair hero vi
2x4gb of gskill aegis ddr4 memory
geforce gtx 1060
120gb kingston ssd
1tb hard drive
500w Corsair psu

I was playing modern warfare warzone the night before this happend with no issues. I woke up the next morning and tried to play warzone again. I launch it and the game says I don’t have the recommended amount of ram. I thought It was weird but I continued to play the game. The game was terrible and I was getting 10 FPS when I was in an encounter with another player, before I use to get a smooth 90+ FPS. I then went to task manager and saw that I was only using 3.9 gb of memory and that 4.1 gb is hardware reserved. I was confused and started to troubleshoot. I looked at my motherboards qcode and it said 24, which means my motherboard does not recognize my ram, but when I open my bios the computer recognizes the 2 ram sticks and says each one is 4gb.The total memory in the bios says only 4gb. Where does the other 4gb of ram go and why is it showing a 24 code if the bios shows 2 sticks of ram? I then turned off the computer and plugged the psu out and tested and cleaned the ram. I cleaned it with isopropyl alchohol and tested both ram sticks. Both 4gb ram sticks work and boot the computer and Ram slots a1 and a2 were tested individually with each stick and work. When I tried to boot with either of the sticks individually in slots b1 or b2 the computer would not post but the fans will turn on and the qcode changes rapidly random numbers no specific numbers pop up and nothing happens. I then tried both ram sticks in slots a1 and a2 and all 8gb worked but its in the wrong configuration. I updated to the latest bios to see if that would change anything. The only thing that changed is when I put the ram stick individually in b1 and b2 the qcode didn’t change rapidly, instead it showed 0d and never posted. I reset the ram sticks back in a1 and a2 for now until I figure out what to do. Another guy on a different form site posted the exact same issue with the same motherboard and ryzen 7 and said he was getting the 0d problem too. People told him to check the cpu for bent pins. The guy responded back and said he fixed the issue by simply reapplying thermal paste and seating the cpu back in the motherboard. He said he inspected the cpu with a magnifying glass and found no bent pins. He put the cup back and reapplied thermal paste and retried to put ram sticks in slot a1 and a2. The computer worked and he was getting no 0d code and everything worked fine and he had his full 32 go of ram.

I dont know if I should buy some new thermal paste or if it’s a software issue with the motherboard. The week before I took the heat sink off the ryzen 7 and cleaned the dust off the heatsink with compressed air. I didn’t have thermal paste so I put the heat sink back on with the old thermal paste. Idk if heat of the old paste had anything to do this the memory not working but I want to start somewhere. I spent a lot on this motherboard and I don’t want to see it be wasted. Maybe some software solutions first because I need to do work and online school on the computer. Can someone please help me with this memory issue?

Solution
the options under dram memory mapping is

chipselect interleaving - auto,disabled
bankgroupswap- enabled,disabled,auto
bankgroupswap alt- enabled,disabled,auto
address hash bank- enabled,disabled,auto
address hash cs- enabled,disabled,auto
spd read optimization- enabled,disabled,auto

now I have another issue, when starting to watch any video on YouTube the resolution goes bigger than my screen. Then I close out of YouTube and twitch and the resolution goes back to normal. How do I fix this. It’s so annoying I just reinstalled the drivers 3 times and played with the scaling modes and can’t get the resolution to fit when I’m watching a video or playing a game.
Try this fix.

Have you tried booting with the RAM sticks located in slots A2 and B2 as recommended in your motherboards user manual?
Did you ever try clearing the CMOS?
What speed is your RAM? Have you tried lowering your RAM speed in the BIOS?

Yes I did that and if any ram slots are in b1 or b2 either the qcode flashes rapidly with random numbers and does not boot or the qcode 0d pops up and doesn’t boot. I reset all bios settings to default and updated bios. I cleared cmos via removing the battery for 15 seconds and also holding the button on the back of my motherboard to clear it. Ram speed is low end 2300 and I set it to default in my bios and didn’t overclock anything.

Go through the tips on this page to see if any solve your problem.

Just tested the first Step and the third step and forth step I did before and it still didn’t work. My problem with step 2 is that I can’t find any settings in my bios that say igpu or onboard graphics disable. I check for 30 min and could not find the chipset settings on my ASUS rog crosshair motherboard where the igpu is suppose to be. I also could not find where the memory remapping feature is, I found one thing called memory mapping but I could not enable it, I could only change what setting the mapping can do. Please help me find another software option that can fix this because it just stopped working out of nowhere and the motherboard is 250 dollars. The bios shows that it is recognizing both ram stick in slots 1 and 3 and says both of them are 4gb but in total the ram says only 4gb. How does the motherboard not recognize the ram in the third slot if it can recognize its brand and how many go it has. Help me please.

See if you can find this option in your motherboard BIOS.

"Advanced > AMD CBS > UMC Common Options > DRAM Memory Mapping"

What do you see if you go to "msconfig > Boot > Advanced options > Maximum memory"? Is it set to zero?

I simply switched from internet explorer to chrome and the problem stopped. My resolution looks washed out for some reason and the text looks almost transparent like. I also fixed my ram problem by simply removing the heat sink and putting the CPU back in. I checked for bent pins and the CPU looked normal. I had no more thermal paste so I just left the old paste on there (which I know is not good, I ordered more) and put the PC back together. I put both ram sticks in slots a1 and b1 and turned the PC on. Miraculously the PC turned on and the only code I have is AA which is normal. What I want to know is how an 250 <Mod Edit> dollar motherboard suddenly broke on me and all i had to do is reset the CPU and everything works. I could have just wasted 400+ dollars for a issue that looks like the CPU is broken or the motherboard is broken and its going to cost a lot of money. God dam had my heart beating.
