My current browser, Maxthon, is 99% customizable.
the bars/menus layous is contorted to my liking, every possible click, gesture or shortcut adjusted to my fancies.
if i want to change anything, i just go and change it.
only thing it lacks is better integration with the Aero interface. the borders are solid, resizing is clunky, and no content preview when flipping/hovering. i can live with that.

Performance and better windows media support (don't care for the add on available).
Better performance all around. For addblocker to catch all popups (not just 99.9% of them).

I have a lot of real estate (when not in fullscreen mode), but having to manually edit files to do it is a nusiance.

Maybe more support on any government site...

Common you guys, do you really know your browsers? Don't ask for things that are already there... I'm not even talking of F11, that's been addressed...

[citation][nom]royalcrown[/nom]Firefox needs a simple "import/export" bookmarks type thing.[/citation]

Firefox has that, just go to bookmarks-> organize bookmarks or ctrl+shift+b there's an option to import/backup bookmarks...

If you want to import from IE justo to file-> import.

As simple as that

Firefox is still the best simply because of all the add on's. You can make it do literally anything. Firefox with more speed would be the best. Chrome is OK, but it's lack of personalization makes it just OK. IE looks good, but its lack of security makes it a poor choice. Until someone comes out with something as good as firefox (with it's community, and add on's) its a no-brainer.

when will there be an edit button here?!?!?!?!?!?!?

it's C'mon not common...

I’m using all browsers. It will be nice to get some fixes.
Chrome: When closing last tab – instead to close the browser go to “Most visited”.
FireFox: In right clicking popup menu – Change order so “Open in new tab” menu is first. It will be just like in all other browsers.
Make it to start fester.
Safari: Shortcut “Ctrl + Mouse wheel” gives works opposite then other browsers
It will be very nice if all browsers will translate CSS style sheets same way.

I'm a happy user of Opera 10 Beta. Sure there are still some small bugs, but that's what you expect from a Beta.

What I especially like is that surfing with Opera is a different faster experience than with other browsers. I would claim it's still the fastest browser on earth. This is achieved by not asking the user each time a tab is closed, and by showing web site content before the site is fully loaded.

As an example Toms Hardware takes 3.2 seconds for me to load, but after 2 seconds I can browse the content and open the interesting looking articles/reviews.

The greatest thing about Opera is though that the developers seems to be one step ahead of the way we use the Internet, so when a new trend starts a Opera user already has all that is needed in the browser. This often makes Opera the first mainstream browser to include innovations = No need for browser add ons, but if you like there is a wide range of Widgets available.

My wishes for Opera 10 is a bit better memory management, especially on sites using Adobe software as basis, and the small fact that it should not upgrade a Unite user to the version without Unite.

[citation][nom]PepiX[/nom]Pretty much every browser does that with a button press.. F11 ...[/citation]

F11 expands to all screen including windows bars and browser tabs. This should be better customized by the user.

Have the right-click menu (context menu) include your first 5 favorites as shortcuts. Maybe even the first option bring up a radial type favorites menu where each section can be a link or a submenu. Submenus pop up directly under the mouse as another radial menu, the middle button would take you back a level in the menu. Of course all of this would not show up (at least at the top of the context menu) if you were clicking on a link. Before I share any more ideas I want to get paid 😉

Sandbox design, Chrome has it right.
Have it stealth deny all the page load redirects (listen Tom's Hardware one of worst) mostly adverts that make the page loads slow down. The ability to turn off annoying Flash adverts too.

Here's a simple list:
1) move all toolbars to the side (left or right) instead of the top. We're almost all of us using widescreens now, gimme back my vertical space!
2) Allow side-by-side page viewing in one window
3) allow a tab to become a window simply by dragging it off. Vice-Versa as well.
4) We need an "open in" button so an active page loaded in one browser that doesn't display correctly due to a software or plug-in dependency can be quickly loaded into another browser. Sure, copy/paste URL might sound easy enough, but when you're logged in and 5 pages deep into some process, not at a page that can be directly browsed to, this needs to be seamless. Of course, is there was 100% support for all apps, plugins, and web based code, this would be unnecessary...
5) Allow me to have a searchable history without having to "keep" a history (compact it all into a database without keeping entire copies of the pages, files, images, etc beyond a small active session cache). This gives me both security AND searchible history... Also, encrypt that database...
6) Allow me to set how much or how little of the browser footprint I want maintained in memory. On some machines, i want it practically running 24x7 in the background and when i load a page i expect near instant results, on others, I'm OK waiting 10-20 seconds for it to load when requested.
7) automatic updates, even when it's not running... same for it's plug-ins.

Basically take Chrome and add more support with plugins and webpage compatibility. Chrome has never crashed on me like FF3+ and runs so much faster than FF. I just don't miss Firefox since version 3+. On occasion though, Chrome doesn't work with a page and I have to bring FF3.5 up. Chrome also needs to make a couple things easier for basic functions. I love Chrome Speed, Layout, Start page (thumbnails of recent sites), and stability. If Google just takes it one step farther with capability, I'll be super happy.

I think the most important thing for all of them is to adhere to W3C standards. That way us web programmers don't have to write exception sheets for browsers that don't comply.

Microsoft needs to add to internet explorer what they did to the desktop. 3D tab changing like the windows flip-3D. Also previews on the tab to see what web pages are open. Tiling would also be cool to view multiple pages at once.

[citation][nom]KMBaron[/nom]IE is my browser of choice, just cause i like the way it's all layed out. While the other browsers are nice, i have and do use them all to make sure i am not missing something. But microsoft does not update IE often. Sure they do on security updates. But the important big chances or tweaks only happen every few years with a new version number. They need to put more effort into this. Maybe if they appeared to care more they would retain and maybe gain markey share.[/citation]
I agree an auto hide on the bars and menu would be nice those big tabs take up alot of real estate :S

I used to not really like Tabbed browsing, but now I like it. My mouse button 4 is set to "Close", and I like to open up multiple tabs (used to be windows) when browsing forums or news. I can quickly close the tab I'm reading when I'm done by clicking button 4.

Everything else is just fluff. As long as I can surf the web how I like to do it, I'm happy.

The Firefox 4 skins do look nice tho.

I've never really cared much about my browser. I still fail to see the big deal with competition between browsers. It's unbelieveable the EU spent time and money regulating something that's free to everyone.

Why do people care?

[citation][nom]Exodite2[/nom]I used Opera before but have now switched to Chrome. I prefer the customization that Opera allows me but I could do without all the non-browser bling. Mail, news, widgets, the Speed Dial etc.Give me an option to exclude all of that on installation and I'd go back to Opera.[/citation]

UH, Opera is a very small download (5mb) and you don't have to use Speed Dial (which I like to use). be default, those things you talk about are not even seen. Its a single button that pull out a panel with all those functions.

And as you say "Opera is customizable" - so you should know that those items can be moved or replace anywhere.
