Quake 3 Benchmarks???

How do you run the Quake 3 benchmarks that on all the video card reviews like the ones Tom's Hardware does??
I have Quake 3. Is there a separate download like for Quake 2? If so, where? If not, how do you get it to run to give you the fps? And how do you change the different settings like quality and resolution?

You have to hit ~ and then:
set cd_nocd 1
set s_soundinit 0
timedemo 1
demo demo001

after the demo, hit ~ again to see the results.

Are you quite sure they ALL disable sound?
I rarely do, and I get similar marks.

i fool around with q3 benchmarking just to see how i compare and i have run across many commands, but i gave never seen set cd_nocd 1, what does this command do?
