So, I was able to snatch a 5080 for myself and I bought a MSI - MPG A1000G PCIE 5.0, 80+ Gold Full Modular Gaming PSU which has a 600 watts 12VHPWR cable which gets directly inserted in the PSU to GPU. I just wanted to ask are this cables reliable? or should I use nvidia's 12VHPWR to pcie converter cable which I am currently using with my 4070 as my psu is 850Watts and doesn't have that 12VHPWR cable which can go directly from psu to gpu.

It's best to avoid any extra adapters/connectors. It just doubles possibility of possible fail points.

Could you elaborate on the issue you're experiencing with the 12VHPWR cable? This is usually a high-power type of GPU, and if you are experiencing connectivity issues or power delivery, that could be an area where compatibility from your PSU to the GPU is checked.

The adapters with the cards are prone to eventual failure. Also people bend the crap out of them as well these cables get hot and bending them can shorten it's life drastically or cause failure.

The cables with PSUs should never be bent near the connector a bend can be done at around 4cm of the connector.

My seasonic cables say this.

I am not experiencing any issues I just wanted to know if they are reliable cables or not my GPU will arrive in few days and my PSU just arrived yesterday. I will fit them both once my GPU arrives so I just wanted to know if those cables are reliable to use or not.

Thats a question you should ask to the PSU maker, in this case MSI.

And I agree that is always best to avoid extra adapters. But I can not tell you if x cable is better than y.

Whatever you do, just be sure to avoid bending the cable too much. Im pretty sure most PSU and GPU makers should have some schematics showing whats the recommended position and angle for the cables they provide, if not you should ask them on their support page.
