Hi.

Can anyone tell me if it matters in what order I play this game ??

Will I miss out on quests if I don't follow a certain path through the game
??

Cheers.

Mad :)

The only thing you can do when playing the game is to enter and play out
the contest. You can't do stuff too far out of order, and the things you
miss our on are generally minor.

The only thing you can miss out on would be defeating the first Arena
champion, and finding the thief that robbed tha bank - both of which are
blocked by entering the contest. Other than that, you only miss stuff
because you forget or failed to do something at the appropriate time.

Hi :)

Thanks for responding.

I've entered The Rites contest and finished the first one now - but I did
manage not to miss the first arena fight (where I was the challenger) ;-)

[Upto now the bank hasn't been robbed. Maybe it won't be now then ??]

Although I have (both) the pizzas, I haven't been able to get the fisherman
to mention "anchovies" for a long time. Only "large" fish comes up as a
conversation option. So, I'm not progressing much in the Science Island
section right now.
I think I will be able to get peppers from the Apothacary next time I'm in
there though, so maybe that will help a bit.

I have been trying to avoid looking at a walkthrough because the game isn't
really very difficult but I WAS getting worried that with this being an
older game I might have done wrong by not following some kind of "set" path.

Thanks again.

Cheers.

Mad :)

Oh, I just remembered - Magnus also disappears from the arena as well. But
this shouldn't be too much of a problem if you cleam out all five fishing
villages by yourself, and wait around. Of course, the Arena thing is only
a scoring thing for the Warroir, and completely optional for the other
classes.

Probably not. IIRC, the trigger for the bank being robbed would be a
certain amount of money within the bank being left overnight.

IIRC, Anchovies are only available later in the game or after you talk to
the boat owner several times. There might be some other trigger, but
Anchovies should be available.

But when you can get them, they are basically in unlimited quantities.
