Question about CPU water cooling

I'm planing on getting the Corsair H100 CPU water cooler since i've been watching loads of videos of water cooling and i'm tempted to use water cooling myself for my CPU. So i know this question is a bit dumb but do i need to replace the fluid on the H100?

Nah, closed coolers (h100, h80, antec khuler 620.920) dont have any points to let air in/out so liquid doesent escape. had my 620 for 6 months now and it still keeps my cpu at the same temp it did when i got it out the box.

This couldn't be more wrong. Once you have a open loop set up there is just as much up keep as any other CPU cooler. There is barely any if you do everything right. Plus a open loop system is much better at cooling parts.

I take it we both speak form experience then. In one of my clients cases, I mean that in both ways, it was difficult.
I'm not saying it's always hard, just that it is more so than other options.

Ok that's fair. Yes it can be more work but if done right the first time there should only be minor cleaning every once in a while. For someone wanting a better solution than the normal heat sink a closed loop is great. For someone wanting ultimate performance then open loop is great.

Op keep in mind that just because it's a closed loop doesn't mean it won't have issues. The pumps in them go bad plus they can get pretty load!

yes it is built into the cpu block head. so you have the radiator that has two lines running to the cpu block. on top of the block where the lines go in is the water pump.

CLC water-coolers dont require any maintenance other than dusting the rad every now and then. Everything is pre-assembled and already filled, all you have to do is mount it to the CPU and case, then plug into power.

Agree on the setup, but its a one time thing so its not that big of an issue.
Maintanence, if you do everything properly, you wont have to touch the thing at all except for changing the water every 6 months or so. If you use a dye and get aluminium components, I can guarantee you'l have to pull it apart every two months to clean.

TBH, if your going for a CLC water cooler, get an air cooler like an NH-D14. They perform the same and are cheaper, with less possible points of failure.
