Question about having Windows 7 on a SSD

I am building a computer and I will install windows on a small SSD as a boot drive. After I get windows running and all the drivers installed, how do I make a standard mechanical drive my main drive so that the files on the desktop or programs I install are put onto that drive? Since the SSD will be Window's default C:/ drive, how do I make all the program files and desktop files save onto the mechanical?

The other software will give you the option to install where you want it.

Note: Only have the SSD installed at the time your installing windows,then hookup your additional drive after you have windows up and running.
