Question Question about PCIE 6+2pin vs PCIE 8pin connector

Hello folks !
So my friend recently brought a new GPU for his old system (MSI RTX 4060TI Ventus 3x OC 🙁) without buying any additional parts.

Issue is :
- When he tried to plug in his PCIE 8pin connector onto his new GPU, he apparently couldnt fit.

I asked for him to send me a picture of his connector and thats what the 8 pin looks like :

Im really confused on what this pin is, because it doesn't look like the 8pin (6+2) I'm using.

If any of you got any clues or responses, I would love to hear about what I'm missing right now 😀.

I would need to ask him tomorrow, but now that you've said it, I'm pretty sure it is indeed a EPS/CPU.
Because I think he told me it was non modular so... 🤔
