I recently purchased the tuf gaming 1000 watt 80 plus gold power supply along with my 7900 xtx. The 7900 XTX has ×2 8 pin connections that need to be powered. This power supply came with 1 8 pin pcie connector, and another that looks just like one, but one end has 7 pins instead of 8. As in, 1 of the cavities that normally has a pin, doesn't. Is this normal? Will this properly power my GPU?

If you zoom in a bit into the cable specification PDF i attached, you can see the "PCIE CABLE 1 to 1 x2" That's the 2x6+2 cables. And yes its sufficient

not just one cable. i don't think it will be sufficient. 2 of them are included with the PSU. use both.
This is why I'm confused. It only needs 18 pins total in the power supply. This single cable has 18 pins on one end (comprised of x2 6+2) and 12 pins on the other end which plugs into the power supply. So why would I need a 2nd cable if I have all pins accounted for on the end that plugs into the GPU?

Sorry, 16 pins total for GPU not 18

Oh, my bad, yes that cable should work fine. I thought you were going to plug just one 8 pin cable.
