Hello , i never been a fan of laptops but currently in a situation where i have to use one ,
Model and windows : HP 640 G1 , Win7
Cpu : i3 4000m , gpu : intel hd 4600 , ram : 4gb single channel
Well about the gpu it has 200 mhz core speed up to 1350 boost clock , the question how to increase it to 1000 or anywhere above 200-300 of usage because that's the max im getting while playing.
Games i play just league of legends "40-50fps v.low 720p" and pubg mobile "20-30fps" and im quite upset with the performance , is that normal ? or i can someone boost the gpu above 200 - 300 so i have a better experience , do i need dual channel ram to make it work ? or what im missing :?!

Your laptop has two GPUs:

1) An integrated Intel GPU on the processor.

2) A dedicated AMD or Nvidia discrete graphics card for games and more demanding graphics applications.

The Intel GPU is used by default for everything, but you need to be using the dedicated GPU for games.

Please see here for AMD Radeon GPU:

If your laptop has an Nvidia GPU instead of an AMD one, see here:

Hope that helps.

Are you sure this laptop has a dedicated card too? I think this model might only have the integrated one.

if it only has the integrated gpu and you want more performance, in this case you need a new laptop with better gpu, what you see is all this laptop will give you, ever

so time to let it go and consider a new laptop with a dedicated gpu, or even better a desktop pc with a gaming gpu, not the intel integrated gpu that is barely good to browse youtube

well as u said seems this is the max i can get from it , thing is this lap is what i can use till the next month at least , i have a decent gaming pc i5 4th gen , 16g ram , rx 580 8g , but i will not be in home for couple of weeks , so the laptop is my only option atm and was wondering if i can try couple of games on it , but it seems better not to xD browsing and watching content will be my only option here , all good tho
