Question Question about the orientation for my hyper 212 evo

Hello,

Ive seen two different kinds of orientation from pictures and videos around the web which made me quite confused as to how I should position my Hyper 212 Evo fan. Is there a right or wrong orientation in this case? Is it a personal preference?

Case: Enthoo Pro M Tempered Glass
Case Fan: LL140s
Fan in the middle: Hyper 212 Evo

The right question you asked is if there's a right or wrong way. Personally, I don't like the look of it being mounted "horizontal", like in the right picture. That's just aesthetic, though.

Long answer short, either of them could be the right choice. It all comes down to specific situation. In the left picture, the airflow should enter your 212 Evo more easily. You could argue that since heat rises, the right picture should work better. Tests so far have shown that heat in cases isn't high enough for it to rise significantly.

I'd say, try both orentations to see what gives you the best thermals.

Agreed, there is no "right" way, but the left configuration is certainly the more traditional method.
If you so want to, try it both ways and see if it makes any difference and let us know.

Also, remove the red top-front fan, as it'll pull some cool air out before it gets to the cpu cooler.
