Question about video card in build

I know the video card I chose is great and all but it's really weird how newegg.ca has taken 100$ off it AND now offers 3 free games as well if you buy it. Something sounds fishy. What's the reason behind this? Is there something wrong with the card that I don't know about?

The price on amd cards used to be highly inflated due to bitcoin mining, now that mining has slowed down the price of these cards have dropped back down.

There is nothing fishy about the offers, if there is p&p included add the p&p cost and the cost of the gpu in total. If it adds up to the same price as it would normally you might as well buy it from amazon

I just did a lot more research and realized that although the 280x is great for it's price it's not as reliable as the Nvidia models, although those are more expensive. A lot of reviewers on such as on Newegg.ca have had bad experiences with them. I'm guessing that may be a big reason why they're trying to get rid of the cards.

Idk. Me and a friend of mine both use amd cards in our rigs, 270x for me 280x for him. Neither of us have had a problem with our cards.

Yeah most people do not have problems but a much larger proportion (compared to NVIDIA cards) do have problems. I would rather pay a few more bucks and avoid a headache, haha.
