Hello everyone. I'm an unexperienced builder and I have a question regarding the compatibility between an SSD and a Mobo.
I was interested in purchasing the Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Wifi II Motherboard.
On my current PC I have an ADATA XPG S40G SSD.
Now here's the issue that's causing some confusion.
Looking at pictures of the motherboard it appears that the slot for the SSD appears to be longer than the one on my current motherboard.

My question is:
Are M.2 SSD slots all the same? Is it possible that my SSD might be too short for the Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming Wifi II Motherboard?
Thanks in advance.

Your motherboard accepts M.2 drives thusly:
"M.2_1 slot (Key M), type 2242/2260/2280/22110 (supports PCIe 4.0 x4 & SATA modes) "

2280 is the usual size. 22mm wide, 80mm long.

Your drive is:
https://www.xpg.com/us/xpg/610?tab=spec
"M.2 2280 "

Again, 22mm wide, 80mm long.

It fits.
