Question Question Regarding GPU/Monitor Compatibility

Hello, I've been out of the loop for a while regarding to PC components and such, and am going to buy a better PC soon. I'm looking at a PC with a 4070ti, which apparently doesn't support DVI, and only supports something called display port? My monitor DOES have this port (ASUS VG248QE), but it's a very old monitor now, so I'm curious if there is any compatibility issues I'm unaware of?
