I currently have a RTX 4070 and AMD Ryzen 9 7900x with 32 GB of RAM. The PSU I am using right now is Corsair RM White Series™ RM850 — 850 Watt 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX PSU. I know Nvidia has listed recommended 850W for the 5080 but I just wanted to know will this psu be ok to run the 5080? And is my processor fine to go with the 5080 or will it bottleneck the GPU?

I would not count on it; I am almost certain you will have issues.

All these recommendations are very much just ballpark estimates, even more so if you go for OC version of 5080, which 3rd party vendors will mostly go for.

Edging like this is not a great idea both because PSUs degrade overtime AND on the other hand 3rd party vendor GPUs tend to come overclocked and thus use a bit more power too.

Ofc you can buy, and it might work fine, but do be ready to shell out another 150 bucks on PSU if not.

Will have to strongly disagree, the OP has a good enough power supply.

OP, you'll be fine with that Corsair unit.

i personally would upgrade it to something a bit more wattage

peak power of your current processor is

216 W
360w is the 5080 ( nvidias model the partner models are usually 50w more)
130w for all the other components motherboard harddrives fans etc.

706w. nvidia or 750w partner model.

now cards can spike in power so arguments sake 50-100w.

then theres the age of the psu. which can make it not run to its maximum wattage.

the numbers are basicly peak numbers not gaming all day numbers. but for overall stability i would say 1000w psu for longevity and piece of mind.

a decent one with high heat rated capacitors. as with all that wattage in a box its going to create alot of heat which kills components over time.
