Hl all!! :bounce:
My question is;
I`ve built a system with the following components; AMD 6600+
motherboard; foxconn(most simple one)
Videocard ; Nvidia 9600 gt
Mem ; 4 gb DDR2
etc,etc,...

Now here is my question;

What kind of motherboard do I need to make a SLI configuration?
My budget isn`t that much.(I`m thinking of 150,= Euro`s)
Second question;
My first card is Nvidia 9600 gt,
my second is also a 9600 gt, but a different manufactorer..
I think I need a bridge, connector and a new power resource,or am I wrong?

In forward,thanks for you help :pt1cable:

What I know about SLI'ing different cards:
-They must have the same GPU.
-Regarding clock speeds, the faster card automatically slows down to match the speed of the slower card.
-It's possible to have two cards with the same GPU but with different amounts of memory, though not recommended.

Asus M2N-SLI
seems to be a good one, cost`s about 75,= Euro`s
not a bad price
b.t.w. my first graphic card is a Nvidia 9600 gt
the second one is made by Sweex,also 9600 gt
So do you think this will work???

Maybe you can consult the detailed specs of your card? Remember, aside from having the same GPU, you also want both cards to have the same clock speed (usually the MHz part of the specs) and the same amount of memory (the MB or GB).

If you get an SLI -capable motherboard, it will come with the SLI bridge adapter to connect the two cards together. That part is motherboard specific as the PCI-e video slots are not spaced the same motherboard to motherboard. However the SLI connector on the video cards is the same, even on cards from different manufacturers.

What are the specs on your PSU? With two vid cards, you may need a better (or more powerful) Power supply.
