Hello.

I want to purchase a 4 pin to 4 mini pin adapter, and on the product detail page says that the insulation material of the wires is PVC, but the rated temperature is 80ºC.

This confuses me, since PVC melts at higher temperatures, or this refer to the fact that the wires only support (for example) 4 amps, and if it reaches 80ºC the wires (not the insulation) will start to melt?.

This is the adapter that I want to purchase:

Specs of the adapter:

Length: 12 cm
Model: 1007 26AWG
Insulation Material: PVC Insulation
Conductor Specification: 7*0.14TS
Conductor Material: Tin-plated Copper
Wire Outer Diameter: OD1.3mm
Rated temperature: 80 C

It's specification of that particular wire. Melting point also depends of the thickness of material but if you are not going to run a ceiling fan of it, there's nothing to worry about.
