Hello all,
I've been keeping an eye on the 6700k pretty closely for a while and I think I am about to buy it. Since this CPU does not come with any form of cooler I thought this would also be a great opportunity to jump into seriously water cooling and overclocking my CPU.
I have enough room for a 280mm rad, so I figure I should get a h110i gt or an h110i gtx right? If I am wrong and these wont do the job of cooling an overclocked 6700k, let me know. No need to argue GTX vs GT, there are plenty of threads on that already for me to read. Also, I heard that both those coolers have a Y fan cable coming out of them for the rad fans. Can I detach that cable? I would prefer my fans plugged directly to my motherboard if possible, not just for cable managements sake, but also so I can control the fans with my choice of software.
Feel free to suggest other coolers, but I already have a set of high SP venturie fans that I will probably use on the rad because they are freaking awesome. Thanks for any opinions and info.
Budget: $150-175
