Posting this here since for some reason Reddit users don't reply to questions anymore for some reason 🙁

I'm planning to put a eGPU on my Asus PB50 Mini PC (Ryzen 5 3550h with Vega 8 iGPU, 12gb RAM)
  1. Can the device work with just a 12v 8a/12v 10a charger? I'm going to use a GTX 1650 (more specifically, a Gigabyte GTX 1650 OC 4GB) that doesn't require 6/8 pin power, only PCIE connection, so basically a 75w GPU
  2. How much bottleneck would there be?
  3. Is it better to use it through M.2 A + E Key or PCIe?

Aside from power, I see an issue using with your mini-PC. You have to open and leave open the enclosure to route any sort of m.2/mini PCIe cable into it. That seems fairly risky.

In terms of GPU processing gains, the 1650 is not going to be a massive increase over the integrated video you have now. In some scenarios, it may even be slower. Others faster. Not sure the juice is worth the squeeze (so to speak).

Can you post a link of the specific PB50 Mini PC you have?

Looking over the item and its reviews, the use of a laptop power supply really isn't mentioned, although there is such a connection present on the adapter. They may provide sufficient power to the device and 1650.

I don't worry about the mini pc's enclosure to be honest, there's 2 pieces I can unscrew off my mini pc which will let me pass a cable through without leaving the pc open with no case on top

Here you have some links for my pc
(The specific model is a ASUS PB50-BR072MD)

I remember seeing a reddit post asking about if the DC IN port was enough power but they didn't really explain much sadly..
