That's just it, though. If they kept the rotated mboard mounting but used a left-side access door, you wouldn't need to worry about what kind of cards or ODD you used at all. That's why I don't understand why they didn't stay with the Raven 3 layout and instead regressed to the Raven 2, which was panned by a few reviewers. And the main drawback of the Raven 3 was the drive bays since the cages are a PITA to install or remove, so using the cages from the Fortress would solve that problem. The result would be a thermally sound case with very good acoustics.

Shame that they didn't included Cooler Master's Silencio 550. I just love this case, nice aesthetics in & outside. Yes, the hardware gets hotter but if you have some good airflow & fans that won't be any problem, especially if you have some Ivy Bridge & AMD GPU inside with low power consumption & heat

toms - thanks for the review, but my honestly my biggest problem with computer cases is the dust they collect inside. can you please include dust in your next roundup of cases?

Silverstone is very underrated as a case manufacturer - I was very impressed with the GD05B that I purchased for my HTPC and how high quality the materials used on the case construction were. I'm thinking of getting one of their cases for my home PC at some point.

I really liked the review series.
I'd like you to review the thermaltake "sonata new".. it would be great to have it compared to all these other cases.

I am confused. Why is the hotter and noisier SilverStone (60-64 degrees,41.4-41.8) preferred over the quieter and cooler Lian-Li (59-61 degrees,38.6-38.8 dBA) in the Acoustic Efficiency chart? Thanks ahead of time. Clay
