Any heatsinks with adequate cooling for a non-overclocked i7 k-series or ryzen 7 series cpu that is quiet and under $50.

I have a $30 off $30 purchase for newegg that has to be sued today and I can find nothing on there for around $30 that i want for not much above $30.

Too bad that 200r computer case isn't still on sale or I would be getting it for $5. I don't see any good deals today, which is my luck...

Noctua NH L9x65 if you aren't OCing.

The NH U12S is better though for slightly more.

I have both of them, using the NH L9x65 on a 1st gen I7 870.

Was using the NH U12S on my i7 7700K for awhile and upgraded to the NH D15 because I am running it at 4.8 Ghz.

Both are very quiet though.

Thermalright Macho Rev. B with TY-147 ultra low-noise PWM-fan. $50.
I have this heatsink. It is actually able to function as a passive heatsink, so I have it set up so the fan is barely spinning. I cannot hear it at all. My GPU fan is all I can hear.

I can't really decide and am probably not building this until next year, anyway, so I may have to just waste my offer or buy games or something...I can't even find games I want, though. I can't think of anything to buy... can't even think of other pc components in the $30 range to begin with.

With it's 20dbA at maximum fan speed, 12.2dbA at 50% fan speed (vs the 18.3dbA of the U12S at 50% fan), I'd say the Scythe Mugen 5 is what you're looking for.

Thanks for the responses, but I just dumbly wasted a $30 off $30coupon, due to not deciding what to buy and time running out. With some of those saying AM4 I didn't know if it meant only for AM4 or what. Then sometimes weren't sold directly by newegg and I didn't have time to ask if they qualified.

All these great newegg deals lately and so of course the day I have this offer, nothing good was on sale.

I should have just bought one and been done with it. How dumb to just waste that fofer when eventuallyI will ahve to buy one.

I am a beginner, though, and wasn't sure if it saying AM4 meant that was the ONLY compatible use or not,and I don't know yet if I am going with intel or AMD.

All heatsinks list what CPU sockets they are compatible with.
Most heatsinks will fit all CPU's with the proper bracket.
That's why the better coolers come with 3 or 4 different (Intel and AMD) brackets in the box.
If it doesn't come with the right bracket, a lot of the better manufacturers will send you the bracket you need for free.

Thanks for the info.

What a shocker... 2 days after that offer expiration from couponcabin, now newegg is putting a gtx 1050 ti on sale for $129.99,and that was as good of a gpu as I needed, so would have been only $100.

Also, have almost decided on a mechanical keyboard.... Such bad timing that I claimed that offer when I did.
