Quiet MAXX™ 6500+ Copper

Can anyone tell me if the Quiet MAXX™ 6500+ Copper CPU Cooler is substantially better than the microsoft stock heatsink and would or could i get buy with a p4 2.4c 800 overclocked to 3.0 on stock heatsink.

The stock heatsink SHOULD be adequate enough. Most people overclock using it!

You should however be able to reach 2.8GHZ.
In anycase, often an independant heatsink will do better. If you have seen reviews of it and it does well, then yeah, why not get it?

EDIT: Darn, Dan's Data doesn't seem to have it. Heck, I thought he reviewed fans quite often.

www.overclockers.com should have a review. Click on 'heatsink and watercooling performance rankings' on the front page. They have a very concise, easy to understand yet still scientific way of reviewing heatsinks on a die simulator. If they dont have it, try www.frostytech.com. I personally use a CNPS 7000CU and love it.
