Quiet/Silent PC Build. How's this look?

Finally ready to order from Umart (if I can just stop researching around in circles). Checked PC Case Gear, MSY prices and their only a couple $ dearer on most things. Guess I'll just go with Umart unless there's another good online strore?

CPU: i5 2500k LGA 1155 $230
Motherboard: Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 $153
RAM: G Skill RipjawsX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHZ PC3-12800 CL9(10D-16GBXL) $125
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D14 $86 (site says it will fit with board and ram height)
Case: Antec P183V3 $162
Power supply: Antec CP 850W $140
(Already have drives)

Total = $896

Alternative parts:

RAM: G.Skill Ares F3-1600C10D-16GAO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 $130
CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO $40

Get the Ivy Bridge instead? Some say it gets hot.
Not sure which RAM to get and if it's compatible. Read 1600 is suppose to be ideal. Do I need a totally different type?

Thinking of saving money on cooler and getting cooler master but have read fan can get a little loud so would replace with $25 Noctua bringing cooler cost to $65 (compared to $86 NH-D14).
Will NH-D14 fit in P183 case?

Was going to order 2 Noctuas to replace Antec's case fans but might see how loud they get on low settings first. Silent PC Review mentions top fan gets quite loud.

Usage:
Audio recording (will be in same room as mics). Ableton, Reaper, large vst libraries.
Hi resolution photoshop (hopefully big 300dpi prints).
Not going to overclock, not much gaming (really crap at it) but would like option to give them a go.
Trying to get as quiet as possible.

Live in central Queensland and postage is about $60 so trying to get everything in one hit to save paying additional $20 for 2 fans to be posted.

Have been rifling through these great threads here for a while. Big thanks to the experts who help out amateurs such as myself, for free!
Any advice or ideas before I order would be greatly appreciated.

Get the Ivy, especially if you're not overclocking. That PSU is ridiculous, it's meant for a SLI high power gaming rig. Just get an EarthWatts 380W and even that's way overkill. Everything seems fine otherwise.

I wouldn't really choose the Antec Earthwatts EA-380D Green for a quiet system due to the 80mm fan.

This isn't that much less expensive, but it is the least expensive PSU on Umart that I could see that is likely to be quiet. This is because it uses a larger 12cm fan, a Yate Loon D12BM-12, which has a maximum speed of 1700RPM.
The 650W version had it's fan speed at maximum load measured at 1660RPM, despite using a higher speed Yate Loon, so I would assume that the maximum fan speed on the 450W version would be lower.

It is well equipped for a 450W PSU as well as it has two PCIe connectors, so you still have plenty of options in terms of installing graphics cards if you decide to install one.

With the Noctua NH-D14 you have to make sure that the RAM is less than 44mm tall as Noctua states that 44mm is the maximum height:

Caution:
The NH-D14 is a big cooler that extends over the first RAM slots on most mainboards. The cooler offers sufficient clearance for all standard size memory modules, but you won’t be able to use memory modules higher than 44mm.

I tried checking G.Skill's website but I couldn't find info about how tall the heatspreaders are on the RipjawsX sets, so going for something like the Ares, if not the Ares themselves would be a good idea IMO.

I realize the power supply is overkill but is there any problem with that? I thought the further from max load it ran, the cooler and subsequently quieter it would be. Is this thinking wrong?

Is the RipjawsX or Ares more suited to this setup? Ares aren't available through Umart.

So is getting the Antec CP 850 a bad choice. It's just so cheap compared to other PSU's that size.
