qx6800 temp - idle at 52 deg?

my qx6800 is running idle at 52 deg with the stock cooler (sythe ninja 2 days away in the post!) - and im running the CPU at 2.9ghz - multiplier x10

Is this temp to high?

I also have a XFX 8800 GTX card in the case which is idle at 62 deg ?

the case im using is silverstone TJ09 - I would have thought this gives me good air flow...

I also have 4gigs of dominator ram.

and the PSU is an silverstone 750w ST

Mother board EVGA 680i


I only got the machine up and running properly today so maybe its not settled down, but im still a bit bothered by these temps - or perhaps im being paranoid?

any help is much appreciated.

Do you mean X6800 or Q6700?

Either way, that is a high temp, probably caused by the rotten Intel stock cooler. Let it go, install your Ninja, then check again,

q6700 sorry - quad core.

well, as soon as i get the Ninja heat sink ill stick it on untill then ill keep my eye onit.
