I know that the i9 9900k processor gets very hot, so I would like to know what kind of cooler I should use for it. I don't plan on overclocking or anything, so I'm really just looking for the cheapest cooler that will reliably consistently prevent overheating.

I run a dual boot system windows 7 & 10 ,most of the time I use window 7 .When I boot into windows 10 to do updates after a few minutes my computer shuts down .If I restart it and boot into windows 7 I get the message "One of your Hard Disks needs to be checked for consistency and off it goes...

Does PCH and CPU frequency need to be synchronized? And, if so, how is that performed?
