r7 265 and 1050ti

I have a r7 265 and a 1050ti. I would like to use the 1050ti as my primary gaming card and the r7 265 as my second monitor card... is that possible? not crossfire (obviously)

It's a moot point, because your motherboard won't accept a 2nd card. The board only has a single PCIe X16 slot.

It's a moot point, because your motherboard won't accept a 2nd card. The board only has a single PCIe X16 slot.

That's actually the wrong mobo, I have the one with the two slots... I installed the gpu and and connected it to the second monitor and the monitor didn't show anything.

Do you have each monitor plugged into the cards and not the iGPU by mistake?

Im currently using a second monitor with my 1050ti, when I installed the r7 265, i plugged it into the 2nd monitor and it didn't recognize it, would I need to take the steps above to install it?

Try the R7-265 in the 2nd slot and plug it into the monitor. Leave the other card out of the slot and just test with the 2nd monitor alone.
