r9 270x freezing pc at around low 50 degrees celsius.
It is a msi r9 270x oc edition, which I have had since may of last year. I have used prime 95 on cpu for stress test for 10 mins 100 load on 8 cores and everything was fine. I used Kombuster benchmark it stressed the gpu to around 98% all the way until it inclines to low 50's it causes the pc to freeze but the pc keeps running and so does the peripherals. I get around 20's to 30's when gaming on my fx 8320 and my psu is good quality with enough power. I also have 6 fans not including the cpu. I have tested the ram and it comes out with 0 errors, i also reseated the cpu, gpu, and ram to make sure and re installed the newest drivers making sure to uninstall old ones.

MSI .

There are usually stickers located over the screws saying, if this is removed warranty is void

Okay I might try it tomorrow I hope it works. Thanks for your help.

Wait so I haven't touched or unscrewed the graphics card meaning my warranty is still valid, so should i request a RMA or take the risk or reinstalling thermal paste?? Would i be able to get away with saying my gpu is overheating at 50 degrees celsius and get the RMA?

If it ran perfectly fine at 100% fan speed as you've probably mentioned then it'll be just fine till you get your RMA .

Since you've never opened up I think RMA is your best bet . * Warranty is vaild

Also try a bios update along with the latest catalyst 14.9 Drivers moreover try making all of your case fans run at 100% speed ( if you can withstand the noise ) to provide ample air flow to your card.

Good luck with your RMA :)

It did not change anything sady 🙁 i used your first link to uninstall everything and the last one to reninstall the newest catalyst driver. Do i need to go to msi to download my specific gpu driver or what should i do?

Im going to RMA it i already wrapped it up in and anti static bag and a ton of bubble wrap going to ship it. I hope they fix it, i also hope that it is just the gpu causing the problem not the mobo or psu.

Yep im going to RMA it i already got the RMA approved i just hope that it is JUST the gpu causing the problem and they can fix it or replace it.
