Hi Guys,

I was all set on a GTX 770 then checked the review on 280 and it pretty much matches 770 (i guess). But in price there is a big difference (770 - 23,000 Rs ($380) vs 280 - 16,500 Rs ($275 )). Is the 770 worth the price difference ? or should i just go with the 280 and save up the extra bucks. And the 280x cost 21,000 Rs (350$). Below is the config i was initially gonna go with

Processor - i7 4790k
RAM - 8GBx2 (Crosair Vengeance/G.SKILL Ripjaws)
GTX 770 (will be doing a 2-way SLI in future)
CM Storm Trooper case
Cooler yet to decide btwn Deepcool Assassin/ CM Hyper 412/ Noctua NH-D14

Thanks,
Yuvaraj

Solution
If you are on a budget then you can grab the Radeon R9 280, both are good cards.
the gtx 770 will produce less heat and noise, in the long run the SLI GTX 770 will be good

all depends on your budget, is electricity consumption a problem?

you can look at benchmarks for both cards and decide what will satisfy you more

id recommend the gtx 770
the noctua cooler is known for being silent and combines high performance as well
the gtx 770 can be compared with thr R9 280x yes 770 preforms better in most games than the 280x.if you are going to get a nvidia or ati you will have to look on what games you are going to be playing.some games preform better with amd and others better wih nvidia.and you will want to see what gpu will give you the fetures you want.you whould also want to see reviews from people that have bought the gpu so you are shure you are goign to be happy with the product.

Solution
hey, the 280 is best for price performance.
The 280x is very much equal with 770 as performance.

However if your motherboard supports SLI and you plan to do SLI, then you could consider an investment the extra money spent for the 770.

Please check your motherboard, because it could support either SLI or Crossfire. You should know that before decideing going for nVidia or AMD especially since you plan on getting multi GPU in the future

Absolutely agree. The SLI will outperform most graphics card. Good idea to invest. 😀

guess i'll go for the GTX then, thanks 😀
