it is not only that the i7 draws more power it is also that it is an older extreme edition version, in addition with a top of the line MOBO and dominator RAM, running older drivers, since the test was done the only thing that has happen is improvements on the chip (reversions) and better drivers with power consumption in mind. in addition to that in romania with the limited choices you do have in the parts you buy the seasonic 520 is pretty ,cream of the crop/top of the line/ choosing something different does not mean that it is necessarily an improvement if you find a corair 600 that does not mean it is better than the seasonic 520, mainly due to the manufacturing process and the choice of parts used. seasonic and other manufactures such as antec; and the nova line; have set new levels of competitiveness roswell is actually making decent 1000w PSU with good components now that there is a demand for them with SLI and all that.but for a regualr person the PSU given the CPU are getting smaller on a nano scale using less energy and and so will gpu's buy a 1000watt PSU and making it cost and arm and a leg ( or as much as a the GPU its self) is not the way to go when e.g. 500watts of quality wil do you just fine and you are not even near cutting it close when you have 106watts to spare or better yet said 20% that is 20 percent of extra power you would wast and porlly end up throwing away had you listened to those guys above it is also prolly about 40euros you saved (90euros if you count the full price of a new 650 PSU) which would just be a waste "safe" or not still a waste case you would then have 37%percent watts just sitting there costing you money out the plug. and then what you gaonna get the GPU next month cause just spent all your money on the psu which does you no good what so ever, no performance boost, no cooling, lights, and sure extra power but nothing that will do you any good with out a graficscard or 2.
so my two cents.
