R9 290X vs R9 390

Which one is better? I can get an Asus Direct CU II 4GB card for £226, and a MSI R9 390 for £269. Is the extra money worth it for the R9 390?

No, because it's a rebranded R9 290 with new VRAM.

Unless you're playing 4k, the 290X is definitively better.

R9 390 is better than R9 290X you can check the benchmarks and has +4GB VRAM more which will be nice when DirectX 12 comes, also runs a lot more cooler than the R9 290X. My advice is to get the R9 390

I just got rid of a crash happy 390 and bought a 290x 8gb
