I just bought a R9 390 and it keeps crashing consistently. It mostly happens when i'm playing a game, i usually cant play for more than a minute before crashing, the screen just goes black and i cant do anything and just have to restart my system.
The crashing also happens when im just watching videos or not doing anything, but thats not as frequent.

Theres also a nubmber of graphical glitches also especially when im playing a game, they usually last for a split second and the computer usually crashes shortly after they happen.

Also when i'm starting my computer i usually see these red stripes for about 20 seconds and then the computer boots normally, but sometimes it wont even boot and just crashes.

I have used DDU to uninstall all the old drivers and then i downloaded a new driver for the r9 390, so drivers shouldnt be a issue, same goes for overheating since many times when the screen goes black the computer is still cool.

What are the odds of this graphics crad being broken, since i do have warranty.

PC specs:

CPU: i5 2310
GPU: msi r9 390 gaming 8 gb
Motherboard: P8H67 asus
PSU; EVGA B3 650
RAM: 8gb ddr3

I would just return it right away, your PC was working before you put the new hardware in, it should also work after you put it in.
If you want to try to make it work, you can downclock it by 100-200mhz(memory too) it and increase the voltage using the msi overclocking software, if it was fixed then you should make a decision to either keep or return it.

There is a small possibility that the PCI-E on your Motherboard might be faulty, that is highly unlikely of course if you had a working graphics card in it before installing the r9 390.
