R9800 installed TWICE?

I installed my new R9800, and everything seems fine, except in XP Device Manager the card is listed twice: Radeon 9800 Pro and Radeon 9800 Pro - Secondary.

Is that the way it should appear for some reason? No matter what I do, I can't get rid of the second listing, XP just keeps "finding" the card again and "reinstalling" it.

Any ideas to fix this?

It doesn't seem to be affecting performance, but still it seems weird.

Also, it's a Radeon 9800, but it shows up in all my software as a Radeon 9800 Pro. Weird.

It show up twice because it has a secondary output option(DVI i think) which is unlikely that you will use.(hence the secondary name)

As for the pro thingie, it is just that both non-pro and pro are based on the same chip but different speed. The software cant tell the speed difference therefore you get it display as pro.

If you want to be sure of what card you have, download and run rage3d tweak and see what the default clocks are. If it says something like 378/338 then your in luck...

It's normal...My 9500 Pro has a secondary as well...it's for either the DVI out or the TV S Video out....I think it's the DVI though...I really don't give a crap about it since my Monitor is already as big as a TV...why hook it up to a TV? Anyways...it's normal

When I watch divx movies on my monitor, they are sometimes a little blurry. But on the widescreen t.v, the radeon smooths them out and it looks a lot better...
