I recently got a free Poweredge 2950 server rackmount and a rack, so i put my gaming PC in there and that guy (2950) with all my other stuff (router, modem, mac mini, etc etc). I dont really need a battery backup bc it doesnt have to be running 24/7, i do want a surge protector that will protect from lighting and power surges. could anybody suggest me a good one?

Surge protectors can help with surges. This one also conditions power, which is a very nice feature. (if it really does anything)

To say that they help with lightning strikes is a false wives tale... if your home or even your neighbor's home gets hit - a tiny fusible link isn't going to save a thing. You just have to hope you don't get hit, and that if you do - it goes right to your ground, which it hopefully should.
