RADEON 9600 Pro versions

Since this is the card standard I´m going to buy, I wanted to know what do you think about Gigabyte´s version (R96P128DH). I read that it was pretty good, but I can´t know if an idiot wrote that so...
I also know there is a version of 9600 pro from GeXCube with 256 ram. I heard it was not good the 256 thing because it was equipped eith cheaper memory and in the end it didn´t benefit the gaming performance.
Maybe you can recommend me another model...

How do you know an idiot wont respond to this thread? lol. I dunno about the gigabyte, but at least they have been pumping out mobos and graphics cards for quite a while without going broke. They must be doing something right. I have heard nothing but bad things regarding gexcube so i would probably stay away from them. A lot of people seem to like sapphire but I saw one of their pros at newegg is coming outfitted with inferior etron tech memory so be careful if your gonna get a sapphire. I have been thinking about an upgrade from my built by ati 9600 non pro and looked into the gigabyte 9600xt. It was a nice looking package, with three games retail boxed at newegg for 151$us. Sounds like a nice deal. Free shipping to boot!

That´s a good price. I live in Argentina, and here sometimes it can be really hard to get the latest in hardware, and if you get it, it´s really expensive. For example, the gigabyte card is 185 usd and it´s cheap...
I don´t know if this happens in your countries, but when I enter US websites of stores, sometimes I can´t believe the low prices

The situation is worse in Bangladesh. The lowest priced R9600XT costs $250 here (ASUS R9600XT) and HIS R9600 non-Pro is priced $185. This is three months old price, but graphics card prices hardly drop here.

However, TNT2 M64 and GeForce2/4 MX cards price is similar or only slightly higher than US price
