My question is which of those is the better of the two? I'm not looking for anything crazy and I don't really want to spend more than 60 bucks so with all my research this is what i've found for the price. Right now I have the 82945G Express Chipset Family with 256 mb memory so almost anything is better than what I have. Also will both of these be compatible with my motherboard?

From what I see the GeForce is the way to go but the quite heat sinks on the Radeon appeal to me. I worry about the noise of the fan.

Specs on both are as follows.

And if you have a suggestion on something better and still and in the same price range please feel free to drop a link or something. Thanks.

The GeForce GT 520 is the more powerful card.

An alternative that is still in your budget is the passively cooled Radeon HD 6450 which is a little more powerful than the GT 520. See following for benchmark:

See following passively cooled Radeon HD 6450s:

If you want the best performing video card (with a fan) in your budget, then consider the following Radeon HD 5670 for $43 after rebate. Of the 16 reviews, no one mentioned the fan was loud...
