Radiation from computer

I am planning on building my next computer as part of my desk. The desktop will be glass looking down on the components laid out below. But then I started to worry about any harmful radiation coming from the computer, being that it would not be surrounded by a metal chassis as is the usual situation.

Is my concern valid? Is there anything I can do to shield from radiation and still keep my glass top?

Computers do not produce harmful radiation, and certainly not the "radiation" you are worrying about.
Glass, wood, plastic, metal, no case, etc are all fine.

Not all radiation is harmful. Don't confuse a bit of low frequency electromagnetic radiation with nuclear radiation or something. The sun exposes you to far more radiation of a far more harmful nature than your computer.

Unless you've somehow shoehorned a small nuclear reactor in there somewhere, you're perfectly safe.

You get more rads from a Banana than you do your Wifi or your computer. Don't worry about it.

Actually... a case could be the source of radiation coming from your computer.

Low-Background Steel

Any steel produced since the 1940s is going to be slightly radioactive.

There is, uh, no practical reason for me to mention this but I think it's kind of interesting.
