I want to setup a Raid 5 in my PC but i'm not sure what raid controller I need to buy.

What's a good raid card controller that's compatible with all mobos and reasonably priced?

I'm with USAFRet. If you want and need to set up a RAID5 system AND include data security, you need to learn a lot about how they work so you can be the RAID and data backup administrator. (While you're at it, read about RAID6.) By the time you do that, you'll understand the differences among the types of RAID cards and be able to make your own choice.

What is the purpose of your system that you think you need raid at all

The reason I'm choosing RAID 5 is performance plus redundancy.

I'm going to buy 5 TB western digital black drives and set them up in RAID 5 (I know about all other types of RAID and i'm not interested in them).

I'm also aware that Raid isn't considered backup but it's better than what I have right now.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G Quad-Core
Mobo: Gigabyte B450 gaming x AM4

As you go north of 4TB drive sizes, RAID 5 becomes less and less viable.
It will take many hours of 100% banging on all drives to rebuild when replacing a failed member.

To say nothing of the fact that RAID 5 is only for drive redundancy, not data redundancy.
