I currently have 2x 500Gb Seagate HDD's set up in RAID 0 on a MSI K9A2 Platinum Motherboard.

What is needed to take those two drives, and stick them onto a working system with an ASUS M4A79-Deluxe motherboard, and have the data read correctly?

Both Motherboards support RAID 0, and both motherboards have two specialized data-only SATA slots that I am either currently using (Slot5+6 on MSI Board) or plan on using (Slot 4+5 on ASUS board)

Will I need to install some RAID drivers?
Will I need to rebuild array?

Just curious, because it will determine whether I need to get another drive to do data backup before swapping. Which then effects how long it will be until I get to use the new system.

Anytime you are doing anything with a RAID array you need to backup because there are NEVER any certainties.

If both chipsets are the same there is a possibility it will just work, if they are different you have next to no chance. If it is your OS drive your best doing a format and clean install anyway as the drivers for each board will be different and cause you issues to no end.

IMO get another drive backup any data you need off the RAID-0, format, install the drives in new mobo setup the array from scratch install OS if required then copy your backup back over.
