Currently i have two 50gb Vertex2 on raid 0, and im thinking of buying 120gb vertex2
and stripe everything. From Basic Raid FAQ thread, it says

3. Can I use different sized/typed disks for my array?
Yes, but for all levels (except JBOD) you will lose some capacity on the largest drives.
For level 0, total capacity is equal to the stripe width times the smallest drive.

I have no idea what it means...
So... what would be the total capacity if I raid 0 two 50gb ssd and one 120gb ssd?

Thank you!

150GB.

Stripe width=how many drives.

It's how many drives by the smallest drive.

In this case you have three drives. The smallest of which is 50GB, so 50x3. The other 70GB on that 120 you have is wasted.
