Hello, my retailer has recommended me a Raidmax Thunder V2 PSU 635W 80+ Bronze. Anyone owned one of these ? Did you have any problems with it and is it any good ?
No, don't even touch the Raidmax. Get something like a Corsair CX600. Raidmax PSU's are tier 5 power supplies which means that they will most likely fail and damage your system when put under load.
Really ? Should I get Cooler Master G-series PSU then ? Don't have much to choose here from where I am. LC Power, Raidmax, Cooler Master or Thermaltake. Maybe Thermaltake Smart SE 530W ?
See if you can manage these : 1. Cooler Master GX 80 Plus 450W or greater 2. Cooler Master Real Power Pro >greater than 800 watt, else no above mentioned PSU's are good. Anyways try online for this one :
Power Supply:XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ NCIX US) Total: $49.99 (Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.) (Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-01-14 11:49 EST-0500)
I think I can't order from PCPartPicker since it is US only ? I am from Serbia, which means I can order from European sites, most likely.
Edit: Corsair Builder Series CX600 power supply - 600 Watt , I found this one, only one from Corsair here. Any good ?
Guys, you have been really most helpful. All of you
I took some time and read about CX600 lots of people complaing about it. So I might skip that.
AshyCFC I know all of those retailers, I already checked them out. Thank you.
The thing is, I have a GTX760, FX6300, Cosair 8GB Ram, M5A97 mobo, WD 1TB HDD and SSD coming in soon. I want a reliable PSU not above 600W that wont make my GPU or any of the components fryed.
P.S. I have also found a Seasonic SS-600GB, 600W. It is expensive but I read a lot of good things about Seasonic in general.
P.P.S. I don't plan on Overclocking ANY of the components above mentioned or SLI/CrosX. Maybe a 520-550W will suffice ? ( 550W Seasonic SS-550G )
the seasonic is a godsend of a PSU if you can afford it, weird that the cx600 has problems since i've got a system in my house with cx750 and works great. a strong 550w will do, If it's got good enough values on the +12v rails.
Yes Seasonic is the best and one of top of the line PSU maker, try to get it, it may cost you more now, but will give you the service for years. Good luck.
