Hello, i have 2x HyperX Fury RGB 8GB DDR4 3000MHz CL15 and i am trying to get them at atleast 3200MHz at maybe 15CL. I tried testing multiple times with it with the help of DRAM Calculator.
Cpu - Ryzen 5 3600x
Mb - Msi b450 Tomahawk (last bios, a beta version)
PSU - Corsair TX750M

https://prnt.sc/wnaw4n - DRAM Calculator parameters, i imported the xmp from thaiphoon
https://prnt.sc/wnarq8 - this is the info from Thaiphoon

But there's a small problem. Rn at 3200mhz, FCLK 1600, Command rate 1T, BGS disabled, BGS alt enabled, Gear down enabled, Power Down disabled it won't go for the tCL 14 that shows up in DRAM Calculator. It won't boot. However it would boot if i put instead of tCL14, tCL15. But as you can see here ( https://prnt.sc/wnarxs, https://prnt.sc/wnauzx ) its 3200MHz now at 16CL? And in bios is still cl15. The other 4 main parameters are as shown in the DRAM Calculator and the voltages are the same as recommended in DRAM, XMP profile also off. Any idea of how i can get atleast 3200MHz and maybe 15CL? If thats possible.
Thank you, if you need more information i can provide it.

In general smaller CL value make less latency and faster RAM access - good for everything. Larger clock frequency make data transfer faster so is better on faster large data chunk copying, game level loading and similar tasks. So far your RAM module stock XML/DOCP numbers are 3000 MHz with CL15. In your case I would try to make CL number less as possible at first. CL14 would be the best goal. When it is done, try to raise clock frequency to 3200 or more. As I understand, those Hynix RAM chips are not capable to accelerate to 3600, but you can try at least 3200. Or maybe 3466... But try to make it, keeping command rate 1T.

Anyway if your RAM CL does not budge below 15 then 3200 CL16 is still good achievement. Because it make data...

Not all RAM would OC properly whatever you try. Secondly even if you succeed, you wouldn't see any difference specially if Cl has to go higher. In any case, try with higher voltage, 1.35v at least if not more, that usually helps.

Ahh i see, yes the voltage is at 1.35v as recommended in DRAM Calculator.

So whats the best i can get out of these 3000MHz CL15 ? Do i go for 3000 cl15, do i stay on 3200 cl16? DO I GO FOR MORE? XDD like 3400 or idk whats possible anymore.

Anyway if your RAM CL does not budge below 15 then 3200 CL16 is still good achievement. Because it make data transfer faster with no less latency than in 3000 CL15 configuration. You can calculate latency here.
