Hello my new parts came in and i got it all together. going through the bios i noticed something. the ram is clocked at 1333mhz when its 1600 ram i expected this but i believe i can run it at 1600mhz if i just change the settings right? the motherboard is the gigabyte 78lmt usb3 revision 5
i did change it and the bios said it would be 1600mhz but upon reboot it said there was a booting error because of overclocking so i set it back.

also should i disable cool and quiet or keep it on?

hey there, i have one idea you can try. since your BIOS is setting the RAM to native 1333MHz speed, it may also be lowering the voltage that's required to run your RAM kit @ 1600MHz.

so, you were definitely on the right track setting your RAM to...

so, you were definitely on the right track setting your RAM to 1600MHz manually however, you'll have to check how much voltage the kit requires to run @ the rated speed of 1600MHz.

let me know if this fixes anything up, if not just post back :)
